Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC Solar Well Pump — 1,300 W DC submersible solar pump for deeper wells up to 60 m maximum head

Larger Cyprus properties need bigger pumps. A commercial farm running a full hectare of drip irrigation. A small hotel with a pool and full guest occupancy. Four or five neighbouring houses on one shared borehole. A big greenhouse operation. Anything with real capacity demand.

In every one of these cases, the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump is engineered to fit. Substantially larger than domestic pumps, still well below industrial scale — and, because there’s no electricity to buy, cheaper to run than any of them. It moves up to 10 m³ of water per hour, reaches down as far as 60 metres, and needs 1,300 watts of solar power to run at full output. Made from stainless steel to survive Cyprus water conditions. Powered straight by solar panels. A free spare parts kit is included.

Description

What It Is

Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump — the higher-capacity DC solar pump in the Hybsun 4US range

The Hybsun 4US series covers the whole DC solar-direct bracket in the 4-inch body — from small hobby-scale up to this 1,300 W higher-capacity model.

Larger rural family homes, small guesthouses, small hotels, shared rural boreholes, small farms, orchards, greenhouse supply, and small off-grid commercial sources. The depth range of 5 to 60 metres covers most Cyprus rural boreholes across every district, with flow measured in cubic metres per hour.

The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump is the 1.3 kW higher-capacity model. Peak flow of 10 m³/h near the surface, top vertical reach of 60 metres, and a 2-inch outlet that feeds larger distribution runs — drip mains, tank inlets, and property-wide plumbing without pressure loss.

Power comes from a 1,300 W motor running at 96 V DC nominal, drawing energy from the solar array through the matched controller.

Stainless Steel Construction

Stainless steel construction — built for Cyprus rural water chemistry

The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump is built from stainless steel from the impeller to the outer housing. At this power level and daily running time, material choice sets the working life of the pump — and stainless is what keeps it going for a decade or more in Cyprus water conditions.

Cyprus rural water rarely arrives spotless. Fine silt, sand, mineral load, and hard-water precipitates come as standard. In coastal-adjacent areas — especially Famagusta and eastern Larnaca — chloride content also rises during dry summers as seawater intrudes into shallow aquifers.

On top of the mineral content in the raw borehole water, irrigation lines commonly pick up dissolved fertiliser residues and organic matter along the way from storage ponds and holding tanks.

Stainless steel copes with all of that without breaking down.

1.3 kW brushless permanent-magnet synchronous motor

The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump uses a brushless permanent-magnet synchronous motor — 1,300 W rated at 96 V DC nominal. No brushes means nothing wears out and nothing to replace. Permanent magnets deliver high efficiency across changing solar output — the motor tracks sunlight strength without losing torque.

The motor is sealed inside the pump housing and cooled by pumped water flowing past it. It runs directly from your solar array through the matched controller — no inverter, no batteries, no conversion losses.

Fits standard 4-inch (DN100) boreholes and larger — the common size across Cyprus rural drilling.

DC solar controller with MPPT — matched to the pump

Every Hybsun 4US1300-60/10D DC solar well pump ships with the matched solar controller included in the box — a wall-mount unit that sits between your solar panels above ground and the pump cable running down into the well.

Electrically, the controller sits between the array and the pump cable. It draws DC energy from the panels, continuously tracks the point where their output is peaking (MPP tracking), and passes that energy through to the motor.

The Hybsun 4US1300-60/10D DC solar well pump controller does three main jobs. It squeezes the most energy out of the panels as sunlight changes through the day. It regulates the motor speed. And it shuts the pump down if the well runs dry, so nothing gets damaged. It mounts at the wellhead or in a small enclosure nearby.

The controller ships pre-configured to work with the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump — no on-site setup required.

Straight from the panels — no battery, no grid, no inverter

The most efficient way to run a small solar pump is straight-through. Panels generate DC. The motor accepts DC directly. The controller manages the interface between them.

This suits the Hybsun 4US1300-60/10D DC solar well pump in Cyprus farming context. Water demand mostly follows daylight — crops get irrigated by day, livestock drink by day, and tanks fill up during the day for use at night. The pump runs while the sun shines. After dark, the system rests.

Built-in protection

Soft start (no inrush damage to the motor), over-voltageunder-voltageover-current, high-temperature and adjustable speed (frequency conversion). For wells that occasionally run dry, the auto-restart is particularly useful — the pump checks again 30 minutes later instead of needing a manual reset.

Who Should Buy This

Is the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D the right well pump for you?

The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump is the higher-capacity DC solar pump in the 4US range. If any of these fits, it’s likely the right pump:

Asset 56

Larger commercial farms · 1+ hectare drip
Vegetable, citrus, or olive operations needing 25-45 m³/day of drip water. The 10 m³/h peak covers even midday watering windows.

Small hotels & guesthouses with pools
Coastal hotels, Paphos hill agritourism, Troodos guesthouses. 30-50 m³/day of guest and pool water straight from solar.

Village-scale shared boreholes
4-6 neighbouring rural houses on one well. Combined household demand of 20-40 m³/day handled comfortably.

Big greenhouses & livestock farms
Larger tomato, pepper, or cucumber greenhouses. Sheep, goat, or dairy operations. 40-60 m³/day daily demand.

Hybsun makes several other solar pump models suited to different operating profiles. If the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump doesn’t match your project, one of these siblings probably does:

How many solar panels you need

Hybsun specifies the minimum array as 1.3 times the pump’s rated power.

For the 4US1300-60/10D (a 1,300 W pump), that’s a minimum of 1,690 Wp — about 5 standard 400 W panels. Most real-world installs go higher, to 2,000-2,600 Wp (5-7 panels). The extra headroom covers summer heat losses (panels de-rate 10-15% in high heat), dust buildup between cleanings, and gradual panel aging over the 25-30 year service life.

Working flow at rural-property operating heads

The flow range for this pump goes from a peak of 10 m³/h close to the surface, down to zero flow at the 60 m ceiling. The table below lists the actual working flow at each standard operating depth — every value taken directly from Hybsun’s published data.

“Total dynamic head” is the sum of static water level depth, pipe friction losses, and vertical climb up to your discharge tank. Friction along the rising main normally adds 5-10 metres to the effective head — the actual figure varies with pipe diameter, run length, and fitting count.

What that flow envelope translates into for typical Cyprus agricultural and surface-water applications:

For a precise sizing check, share with CGP Solar your static water level, daily volume required, and target tank height or distribution point — we’ll confirm the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump lands on your operating point, or point you at a different Hybsun model if a better fit exists.

What distinguishes the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D from generic small solar pumps

Stainless steel throughout — no plastic anywhere in the wet end

Cheaper pumps this size still ship with plastic impellers — fine for clean water, hopeless against sand, fertiliser residue, or coastal-adjacent salt. The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump uses stainless steel throughout. It handles Cyprus water across every district.

Uses standard 400 W solar panels. Wire 3 or 4 in series into the controller.

Free spare parts kit included — seals, washers, bushings, brushes. Ready in your workshop for when something eventually wears out.

Automatic protection — the controller handles it, not you

Protection is inside the controller — nothing to configure. If the well drops below the pump, power cuts. If panel voltage spikes on a cold morning, cut. If wiring is wrong at startup, no power flows. And when the well water recovers, the pump restarts on its own.

Smooth solar starts — no motor stress

Grid pumps take a current burst at every startup. Over years of on/off cycling, that’s what kills them. A solar-direct pump avoids all of it — motor speed rises smoothly with the sun and drops as it sets.

Dry-well protection — the pump looks after itself

By August or September of a dry year, Cyprus well levels can drop below the pump intake. Without protection, the motor would overheat and fail within minutes (motors need water flow past them to stay cool). The controller detects flow stopping, cuts power, and retries until water returns. You don’t lose the pump.

How CGP Solar installs the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump

Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump install normally runs 2-3 working days end to end. Simple solar-direct wiring and small deployment depth make this a much faster job than a larger hybrid or commercial pump project.

Stage 1 — site visit (1 day). We measure well depth and water level, estimate likely drawdown, check the borehole diameter and casing condition, map the pipe run up to your tank, and choose a panel mounting location (ground mount, rooftop, or fence line) with strong day-long sun.

Stage 2 — quote and ordering (3-5 days). We work out the array size against your daily water demand and available budget, spec the pipes, design the controller mounting and wiring layout, then verify pump stock and place the order.

Stage 3 — installation (1-2 days on site). Dropping the pump into the borehole is roughly half a day of work. Panel mounting and array installation runs from half a day to a full day, scaling with array size. Wiring the controller and commissioning the entire installation takes a couple of hours.

CGP Solar handles the whole job across Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos, Larnaca, and the Famagusta region.

FAQ’s

Most asked questions
about Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump

What's the flow-vs-head profile of the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump?

Peak 10 m³/h near zero lift, dropping with depth. 8 m: ~9.3 m³/h. 20 m: ~8. 30 m: ~6.9. 40 m: ~5.5. 50 m: ~3.7. 60 m: zero. Match against your real total head (water depth + pipe losses + tank height), not the peak.

Can I run Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump from grid power instead of solar?

No — this is a solar-only pump. If you want to use solar during the day and switch to grid power at night or on cloudy days, take a look at the Hybsun 4USH1300-125-6F is the closer match.

How many solar panels do I need to run the Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump DC solar well pump?
The bare minimum is 1,690 Wp — that’s 5 standard 400 W panels. Most real setups use 1,600 to 2,000 Wp (4 or 5 panels) for a bit of extra margin. That way the pump keeps running at full speed even when the panels get hot in summer or dusty between cleanings. If you want to add more panels, wire them in parallel rather than long series strings.
What if my well runs dry during summer drawdown?

The controller comes with dry-run protection as standard. If the water level in your well drops below the pump and water stops flowing, the controller cuts power to the motor right away — before anything gets damaged. It waits a bit, then tries again. It keeps trying until water comes back. Cyprus wells often draw down when demand peaks in July and August. This protection is what lets the pump sit there running all summer without you needing to watch it. When the water level recovers, the pump picks back up on its own.

How much daily water can I actually expect from Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump?
The Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump output per day depends on your total head and hours of usable sunlight. Cyprus averages roughly 5.5-6 peak sun hours per day across the year, peaking at 8+ hours in midsummer. At 8 m total dynamic head the working flow reaches around 9.3 m³/h — over a 6-hour operating day, that’s ~55.8 m³/day. At 20 m: about 48 m³/day. At 30 m: roughly 41.4 m³/day. At 40 m: around 33 m³/day. Across a full midsummer month at 8 m head, that comes to about 1,250-1,400 m³ of pumped water.
Does the pump need maintenance?
Very little. The brushless motor has no brushes to wear. Panels get a rinse a few times a year. Well pull-out every 3-5 years for inspection. Wear parts come free in the box for whenever they’re eventually needed.
What's the warranty and certification for Hybsun 4US1300-60-10D DC solar well pump

Standard 2-year manufacturer warranty from Hybsun on the pump itself. The Hybsun 4US750-45/7.5B DC solar well pump carries CE conformity for EU/Cyprus sale, and Hybsun’s manufacturing facility holds ISO 9001:2015 certification. The DC hybrid controller is IP65-rated — dust-tight and pressurized-water-jet protected — appropriate for outdoor mounting at exposed mountain wellhead locations, or inside a pump shed at agricultural and resort sites.
