In a DC-coupled setup, the solar panels (PV) connect directly to the KSTAR BluE Residential ESS (which includes the hybrid inverter). The DC electricity from your panels is fed directly into the inverter, which then decides whether to convert it to AC for immediate home use, charge the battery modules, or export to the grid. This direct connection often results in higher overall system efficiency because there are fewer conversion steps.

AC-Coupled Storage System

Perfect for adding battery storage to an existing solar panel system.

With an AC-coupled setup, your existing PV panels already have their own PV inverter, which converts solar DC electricity into AC. The KSTAR BluE Residential ESS then connects to the AC side of your electrical system, typically after the PV inverter.
