  • inverters with a high degree of IP (Ingress Protection Code) protect against the ingress of objects and water, which makes it possible to install them outside of the bulding closer to the panels;
  • it is optimal to install the inverter on mounting structures for solar batteries, on concrete bases or on the wall. The closer the inverter is to the batteries, the smaller the length and dimensions of the DC cable you will need. In turn, this allows you to save on losses and get a profitable system;
  • some models of inverters that stand alone – they do not need walls or structures on which they will be attached, they only require a solid surface;
  • pre-assembled inverters with single-pin DC connectors can simplify the installation process;

Types and characteristics of inverters for solar power plants

According to the purpose, there are three types of inverters:
